A gas rebate credit card is a type of rewards credit card, similar to a cash back reward credit card. Each time you pay at the gas pump using your gas rebate credit card, you're earning a rebate that will be credited to your account at the end of the month. That means you'll see your rebate monthly instead of annually like most other cash back cards. Some cards even allow you to choose how you want to receive your rebate, whether it is in the form of a credit to your account or a gift card.

Some gas rebate credit cards only provide rebates when you purchase a specific brand of gas, whether it be BP, Exxon or Mobil, Texaco, etc. If you are loyal to a brand of gas and its additives, then these branded gas rebate credit cards are a great way to show it.
