You may have just saved me an inquiry, disappointment and embarassment. I bank with two CU's. I want to increase my tradelines with a secured card from at least one of them. I have about $1500 in one and I was going to apply for $1000 secured. One account is pre Chapter 7 and the other is post. On the application I filled out for membership on the post chat 7 account they asked if you ever filed BK. I lied. I'm afraid to apply there. But the other I was thinking about. Maybe I should call them up and ask "theoretically with my situation" should I apply. What do you think. I got nothing negative in the past 48 months.

I would definately do that first! No need to go blowin off inquiries for nothing! I wish I would of done that to begin with but I didn't. I didn't know it was POSSIBLE to be turned down for a SECURED CARD!!!!!

I have overdrawn my account by a little over $1k before (rent check posted right before direct deposit went through) and they did not return my check! I was amazed! What would happen is my rent check would clear at midnight and then that morning sometime my direct deposit would come through. They alway manage to charge that $17 fee though! :-( What's even funnier is I guess their policy is when a check comes through and you don't have sufficient funds in your checking account, they pull money out of your savings to cover. Well, when the $1100 rent check came through, they pulled $7 (all the money I had available in my saving account) out of savings and put it in checking. Why bother? I was still over $1k short! I was cracking up....
