I found an AMAZING poem written like around 300 BC, Appolanis.

"Come to the edge I said.
    But we're afraid they said.
Come to the edge I said.
They came, I pushed them ...
and they soared like Eagles in the sun".

    Pass it on my friend.

    :)

    .
It was written by Guillaume Apollinaire, 20th century.
    Great poem.

Good catch, but maybe Apollinaire was Appolanis a few metaphysical iterations ago.

Yet another take as to where this poem originitated - http://www.globalideasbank.org/Poems/PoemMar17.html

Either way, it is amazing how a few simple lines can be so inspirational.

    Great Poem, Butch.

All I can say about this forum is that IT WORKS!!!

Less then 2 years ago I couldn't even get a cripple car loan (let alone ANY credit cards) - now I'm getting prime cards.

My only advice to all of you is HAVE PATIENCE. It will take months of disputing and redisputing to achieve your desired results.

If you need any tips, just ask me.

    Sal

    Re: -> CreditNet Testimonials!

Late ‘95 thru early ‘97 was a bad time financially for me. I had been on a roll and was doing great when my primary source of income crashed. I was unable to keep up with my debt and got behind on all my accounts. I managed to hold all of them off until things got better but one account charged off and it was sent to a CA.

In late ’97 things got back on track and I was able to not only catch up but actually got debt free by 2001. I paid off all my back debts, current debts and bought a new car with cash. But my credit was not very good. I had almost 4 years of perfect credit but the CO and lates from ’97 were killing my scores.

I started looking for credit repair ideas, bought a book or two, almost hired a credit repair company, and then I found CN. A whole forum of credit experts (and a few trolls), It was exactly what I needed. I threw myself into credit repair with frenzy! I stayed up nights reading the FCRA, visiting the FTC website and reading the opinion letters, perusing the staff commentary, even joined the collectionindustry.com forum (know thy enemy). In short I became a credit repair junkie. I even have a “hall of fame” post (Top 100 mistakes in credit repair!).

I obsessed about my scores. I started with high 500’s and got into the revered double 800 club. I topped out at 802 EQ 808 EX and 778 TU. I got ALL my old lates off and learned how to play the game about my scores.

I don’t worry much about my scores any more, but what I learned here has been invaluable. I had a CA come after me a few months ago regarding some bills from an injury at work. The hospital had been overpaid and the emergency room doctor and radiologist had been under paid. By the time I got it straight the CA had reported the collection to EQ. I was able to get it removed in less than 45 days. I disputed with EQ and it came back as verified, I went straight to the “I’ll sue you letter” and emailed it to the CA’s attorney with a copy to the CA’s president. In less than 5 days I had a UDF from the CA with a copy of a letter to EQ from the CA stating this was “an error” and the account should be removed.

I had a good time here and met some great people. What I learned made me a better consumer and, maybe even, a stronger person. I learned that that you can fight city hall, that the squeaky wheel does get greased, that sometimes they will give in if you just keep fighting for what you believe in, and never ever give up.

    Regards

    JohnM

    Re: -> CreditNet Testimonials!

My story isn't very grand yet, but in a little over 60 days, I have managed to get 11 neg accounts deleted from TU, 2 from EQ (with 7 currently in dispute), and I've got a dispute going with EX as well.

Also, as of today, I got my first *b* on EQ!!!!!

I'm so glad that I found this board. The knowledge, information, and advice found here has helped me tremendously in my efforts to correct my credit reports.

    Re: -> CreditNet Testimonials!

The following is from an old post of mine from May 03. Since then I have purchased a new $600,000 home. My only problem today is that I'm sick and tired of having to shred all of the credit card offers that I receive almost daily as junk mail. THANK YOU CREDITNET!

    ***************************************

I just wanted to let everyone know that persistence does pay off. Here are my results after ten months of hard work:

    EXPERIAN - September 02
    1. Judgment for $1,595 (unsatisfied)
    2. ANBCC - $7,908 Charge-Off
    3. AT&T Wireless - $623 Charge-Off
    4. CitiBank - $64 Collection, $2,234 Balance, No Lates.
    5. City of San Diego - $147 Charge-Off
    6. Discover - $1,735 Balance - Multiple Lates
    7. First USA - $12,080 Charge-Off
    8. HSBC Bank - $5,542 Charge-Off
    9. Equidata - $29 Collection Account (appeared 03/03)

    EXPERIAN (today)
Ten positive tradelines – No lates or any derogatories. EX FAKO score of 776.

    EQUIFAX - September 02
    1. Judgement for $1,595 (unsatisfied)
    2. Assoc/Citibank - $7,898 Charge-Off
    3. CitiBank - $2,084 Balance, Paid Collection + 1-60 Day Late.
    4. Discover - $1,735 Balance, Multiple Lates.
    5. First USA - $12,080 Charge-Off

    EQUIFAX (today)
Eight positive tradelines - No lates or any derogatories. EQ FICO score of 793.

    TRANSUNION - September 02
    1. Judgment for $1,595 (unsatisfied)
    2. Discover - $1,735 Balance, Multiple Lates.
    3. Assoc/Citi - $7,908 Charge-Off.
    4. Citi - $2,234 Balance, $64 Collection.
    5. City of San Diego - $147 Charge-Off.
    6. NCO Fin CFS - $18,415 Collection.
    7. Mazda Credit - Closed, 5-30 Day Lates.
    8. HSBC - $5,542 Charge-Off.
    9. Allied Int. - $10,954 Collection.

    TRANSUNION (today)
Eight positive tradelines - No lates or any derogatories. TU FICO score of 788.

    NOTES.
Of my original 23 derogatory tradelines, 20 were removed by dispute, one was removed by settlement ($180 paid to the City of San Diego), one was removed by validation, and one (the judgment) fell off due to age. I was fortunate in that most of my high balance charge-offs were five plus years old and no longer verifiable. Both my Discover and CitiBank accounts were closed, but had revolving balances and were showing multiple lates. I paid off the remaining balances and then started disputing the lates. They all eventually were deleted by dispute.

Strategies that I tried that did not work were Nutcase and Goodwill letters to the OC’s. I never had to send a ITS letter, but I came close and was preparing myself for court.

Many thanks to everyone for their help! This board is invaluable!
    TU FICO 788 - EQ FICO 793 - EX FAKO 776 - EX FICO ???
