Somehow my CH13 fell off 2 months early, maybe because I disputed it a million times! It was supposed to fall of in July, but I heard sometimes they go ahead and delete a bit early.

My score was 699 last time I checked in late March. With the CH13 deleted, it's now 791!! No other significant changes to my file other than a new target account, which would actually lower my score a bit. I'm thrilled! I don't know if I should check TU or EQ just yet.

Each individual always has major differences. It could be a number of factors as to why my score was 70 points higher than yours with roughly the same age CH13. High debt/credit ratios will kill your score, and I had less than $300 debt with $30k avaiable credit (only less than 1% of my available credit was being used). That alone was probably worth a lot of points. Also, I never missed a payment since 1996 when I began to re-establish credit, and I always payed significantly more than the minimum amount due. And I only had 1 hard inquiry (which I had deleted thanks to Doc's trick!). There are probably several more reasons, but those are the main ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Hang in there, you're not that far away!

Slayer--Great news!! Just what is it like to be looking on the 800 shelf? Whats up there? Can't see it from the 600 club but I'm starting to get a sense of what 700 looks like!

Rina- Congrats! You'll look at the top shelf soon!

Thanks, all of you! I almost feel like I graduated college again! Seriously though, it feels unreal. It seems like just yesterday when I was below subprime hell and couldn't even get a secured card because of my bk. I'm living proof that patience and dedication will get you back on your feet once again. Never lose hope!
