I followed the rules. I sent the letters and have my green cards. Today i look at Experian and on only THREE of the very wrong items it says under notes 'account in dispute-reported by subscriber' ummmm sorry for sounding like a total blonde here, but what on earth does that mean? are they doing anything? it's past the 30 days now.

i have my FTC identity theft stuff... should i send them that? i have lived at the same address for over 26 years, i have proof of that. and my police will not do a report on id theft. they actually chuckled at me!

i have read until my eyes throb and i'm not sure what to do.

    brief scenario:

hired lexingtonlaw two and half years ago -(STUPID MISTAKE)!!! nothing cleared up.

found a 22000 surgery item being reported on my credit. for an appendix removal from what they said when i called them three years ago. again, ummmm I still HAVE my appendix. it's there. whole. happy.

then, about two and a half years ago these magical payday loan things started to appear on my credit. it was like fleas, first one, then poof....six.

i'm trying to do these things the right way, i file my stuff with Experian, they have corrected one or two items.. then they say that stupid 'investigated (maybe the wrong word)-consumer disagrees' bologny!!!!! What do i do about that?

oh, and then, one of the things they removed, reappeared, like magic, with a different company collecting on it. is that fair?

So i waited a while, and tried to dispute again, this time more detailed....like 'amount wrong'...'address wrong'...'account number wrong'..anything that i could prove is wrong. and now 30 days have gone and nothing. i feel so .....enraged.

anywho..what do i do now? help? i feel this board is my thread of sanity in this world of id theft bs. somehow i am the one that is feeling like a low life. i just want it all done.

any help? what to do next? who can i flip out on? what letters go next? any and all help from the wise credit boards is greatly appreciated... i can't sleep cuz of this anger...so i will continue my education...we should all get credit for the time we take to educate ourselves on this stuff!!!!

If these items are truly not yours and they've been verified, it is time to consult a consumer attorney.

The time for letters is over or at the very least, time to consult someone that knows what they're doing. And, as you know, that isn't Lexington Law.

Not directing this at you but, I can't understand why anyone would willingly go to a place with that many BBB complaints and which has been sued by the FTC on numerous occasions.

If the police don't take the report go to the da in your county, with out a police report it makes things harder.i would talk to a police supervisior. It's a crime. If the police don't take it try the sheriff. If nothing happens go to the state attorney general.

    more ??

I tried the sheriff and the da...they told me that since i dont know 'who' did this they can do nothing. they gave me their business cards and said 'if you find out who it is call us'.... such a great system.

as for consumer attorney...where does one find that?

i'm completely frustrated. dont know what to do next. no one has anything with MY id or MY signature on it.

mortgage lender wants me to negotiate some sort of 'if i pay you you take it off' system with these payday loan people, so that i can get a better interest rate.... i'm tempted yet fundamentally opposed to paying something that isnt mine!!!

does anyone know what this means: 'account in dispute-reported by subscriber'

i appreciate all of you....i have to tell you the hours i spend reading here are amazing and informative. i wish we could all change the way the system works!!!

Did you fill out any affidavits and submit to the bureaus and creditors in question?

    Affidavit?

Not a single person at any bureau or collection place has asked or told me a thing about affidavits that they need, I have sent the the FTC one..do most places have their own 'form'.

I did however have this rather nice creditor call me a 'lying b**ch' today. quite friendly don't u think? and...i have it recorded. such a nice man.

anywho...i wrote a new post today. hope y'all can help with both!

OH! one more thing..i am from texas, and i found this info re: can't be a collection person in texas without some bond etc....i looked up all the peeps reporting the b.s. on my report and none of them are bonded in texas....anyone know anything about this kinda stuff?

    xoxo
