I disputed an account that was included in my bankruptcy with Trans Union. Prior to this dispute the account was listed as

    ">CHAPTER 7 BANKRUPTCY<, STATUS AS OF xx/1997: UNRATED".
    Now it shows as

    ">CHAPTER 7 BANKRUPTCY<, >STATUS AS OF xx/1997: PAYMENT AFTER CHARGE OFF / COLLECTION< ".

This was information updated from the original creditor. I was current on the account with not even a 30 day late when I filed for BK 7. Why would anyone include in a bankruptcy an account that was a paid charge off. What would you suggest I do about this account now? Help!

    All comments from anyone welcome.
    Erik.

Have they re-aged this account to a later date or attempted any collection activity after your BK? If they have done neither, I would leave it alone. If the accounts have the same dates, they would come off your report at the same time

This is one account. They just added the ">STATUS AS OF xx/1997: PAYMENT AFTER CHARGE OFF / COLLECTION< " to the status field. No, no one has tried to collect on the account.
