Ok folks, I've checked the newbie section and can't seem to find what FR, F/R stands for.

I've been reading some of the posts about Amex and this is brought up on a regular basis - it's of course probably something really simple that my mind just isn't thinking about. I've checked the newbie posts, and the glossary - did I miss it? And since it seems to be such an important thing to not have while having an AMEX - I need to know. I just got my green after a pre-approved letter, and I don't want to screw it up!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks

Ahh.. so I found what FR stands for - Financial Review, which is what I thought it was ..

So why is everyone so scared of getting a FR from Amex. Is it just sending them documentation of how much you make etc?

    Thanks

They want full financial statements, and they often cancel cards or reduce limits because of the information provided. They request more than just a statement, they want copies of tax returns, bank records, etc.

Maybe I should have read my fine print on my card agreement .....

I found a few threads on this topic already - most seem okay with it and have sent them the info requested.... I guess I just need to keep reading to see what not to do to cause it to happen.

I already called them to let them know my monthly spending limit woudl be about 6K and they said that it would be okay... I'm hoping I won't see any trouble out of this card, as I've already read a few bad stories about it.
