Which agency I should pull from to get the accurate information on my credit report please ?

I have another question please :

If I have account on my credit report that was charge off and last payment was made on this account it was in year 12/2008 when you think it should fall off my credit report I know it 7 year, but can you give the month and the year please ? The reason I am asking it because it showing that it should be removed in year 05/2015 is this correct to you ?

    Thanks so much

If you are applying for a mortgage, you will want to pull reports from all 3 bureaus.

You may actually want to do a test-run pull, where you have a mortgage company pull your credit, and then wait to see if any collection agencies come crawling out....that way, when it comes time for your real mortgage pull, no surprises pop up to knock your score down.

The FCRA allows up to 7.5 years from the DOFD (12/08 in your case) however, CRA's do not usually to follow this, and typically delete at the 7YR mark, which would be 12/15. If this is coming off in 5/15, consider yourself lucky.

I would not, in your case, try for an obsolete dispute; instead just let the account roll off.

I actually would do an obsolete dispute, but not just an obsolete dispute.

If you have old copies of the credit reports that the account has appeared on before. I would look through with a fine tooth comb (including payment date down to the reported day of the month), find every single contradiction, and dispute the fact that the account was obsolete based on inaccurate reporting of incorrect last payment date, date of last activity, date closed, etc. whatever factual inaccuracies that you can find.

Be prepared to escalate the legal force in each dispute.

The ultimate being use of Johnson v. MBNA which requires a comprehensive dispute of the inaccurate information, which is unavailable because it's beyond the document retention periods for most companies (5 years is the required DRP). If they can't conclusively verify the inaccurate information, they are unable to continue to report.

Ok, Yes if the original falls in 05/2015 that actually good because the account not suppose to come off until 12/2015 if my last payment it was 12/2008 is that correct to you ?

If the Original Creditor falls off in 05/2015 Do you think the collection who bought the account needs to fall off too in 05/2015 ?

if they don't you think I should dispute why the collection account not falling off?
It showing the collection won't fall off until next year 7/2016 so that one year after the Original Creditor.

What you mean by : I actually would do an obsolete dispute ?

    Thanks

Obsolete is simply that it's beyond the time-limit for reporting as established by the FCRA, as mindcrime said, statutorially, that is 7.5 years following the delinquency which resulted in charge-off, collection, or other adverse action.

So, statutorially, if the first payment was missed on December 2008, 7.5 years would fall, essentially June 2016.

Accounts can fall off at any time before that period, for any reason, and I like to push them off the cliff whenever I can.

Especially when there are two people reporting what SHOULD BE identical information, it's even easier to find inaccuracies which can be made into specific disputes.

If the OC says the DoFD was 12/2008, the CA reports that the account's DoFD was 6/2009 (open & closed dates are the only red-hearings there, they can be different as they could either be when the OC opened or closed the account; or when the CA did - AS SO LONG as the DoFD is being reported accurately.)

You need to pull your reports from each CRA directly.

    Equifax
    Experian
    Transunion

Well I pulled my Credit Report from Experian website , and I really did not see The Original Creditor on the Report just like I did not see it on Equifax Report when i pulled it from the Annual Credit Report website 2 days ago.

I am happy that the Original dropped off which I thought will not come off until the 12/2015 I got lucky on that, but now I need to deal with the collection Agency why they still reporting.

Her is what it saying on the Experain Report about the Collection Agency that they bought the account from the Original Creditor.

    Unknown
Account Name ----------- Account # XXXX
Account Type Other Collection Agencies Balance $21,675.00
Past Due $21,675.00 Date Opened 4/1/2011
    Account Status
    Mo. Payment $0.00
Payment Status Seriously past due date / assigned to attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor's internal collection
department High Balance $0.00 Limit $0.00
    Terms 1 Month Comments
As you can see they don't have any information about when the last payment was made or any other proof about the the original Creditor their name or,,,,,,,.

What you think guys can I dispute them and will i have any luck getting them off my report and what information can I go by to use with my dispute ?
    Thanks

There is no guarantee that when the original falls off, the CA falls off, or vice versa, any account can fall off of any reason.

Since the last payment and date of first delinquency is missing, you have a dispute that you can make.

"Obsolete; incorrect or unverifiable date of last payment, and date of first delinquency."

    Another thing,

are you past your states SOL?

Without the DOFD, the CA could sit as long as it likes. Date Opened means nothing...it's a date that can be 're-aged' legally.

When you dispute account with Credit Report Bureau those the dispute makes the 7 years period start at all over again or dose it extend the 7 years period ?

Will disput hurt my chances of getting account off in anyway or those it hurt anything us ?
    Thanks

The 7 years is from the Date of First Delinquency; that doesn't change. (If they aren't reporting the DoFD correctly, then there's a chance that it could stay on indefinitely... THAT's why disputing the DoFD if it's not being reported is essential.)

2 days ago I did the $1.00 trail and I pulled my Experain credit report online from Expearin website and that when I did not see the Original Creditor on the report so I am assuming the information on the Experian online website report it accurate since I am paying and puled it from Experain website.

Do I have to pay extra $ 8.00 and buy a copy to be mail to me or is it the online report I looked at and pay for it enough ?

The reason I am trying to pull my Credit Report the accurate Credit Report so I can see if the Original Creditor fall off so I can dispute the Collection account ?
I just need some guidnes from you guys on how to get the accurate Credit Report.

someone told me that the report I look at on line not the same as the the copy they mail to you if I order a copy by mail is that true ?

last week I puled Equifax Report from the Annual Credit Report and the one I puled 2 days ago it was from the Experain websit that I paid for I believe the information on the are accurate.

Last year when I puled the ReportS from The Annual Credit Report website I so the Original Creditor on them , but not this time, that tells me that the Original Creditor did fall off if the information is accurate from the Anuual Credit Report and the Experain Website.

    Thanks

    Thanks

I am just confused sorry for all this question or the repeat questions.

As jam said, just because the OC TL dropped doesn't mean the CA will just do the same.

You've already told us the last payment was 12/08; so DOFD was 01/09. The account can legally remain up until 07/16 if reporting correctly, but without a DOFD being reported on that CA account, you don't know when it will fall off naturally.... There's your dispute (as long as, once again, you're past your states SOL). If by chance you're still within the SOL, I probably would not be poking them about a 21k debt.

The mailed copies of your credit reports can contain more data than what you see online depending on what type of report you are viewing/purchasing. IDK what the $1 trial is through EX.

Without having all the facts here, it sounds to me like an early deletion (from OC) occurred.

Ok, If early deletion from OC accrued .

How do I go or start with the dispute. Do i say that the collection rerouting wrong information . First they are not reporting the original date of my last payment and what us I should say on my letter please ?

Do you have a sample dispute letter I can copy or go by?
    Thanks

The dispute would be the account is reporting incorrectly.

    Just keep it simple.

There is a sample letter section.

Also pinned to the top of the forum are threads with current phone numbers and addresses for the CRAs.

The best is not to use the form letters; be simple. Just say that you believe that there are errors, and you want the following accounts checked, for x reason.
