Which is considered the better of the two? I know blue doesn't have a fee, but I pay my balances in full each month. Would it be considered an upgrade if I converted blue to amex green?

    EX 795 as of 6/02 ??

I'd take blue over green. Same benefits, with no annual fee. Blue even enrolls you for membership rewards options free, or a minimal fee for MR.

I think green looks "cooler". My blue card is has this wierd powdery, dull gray fade into the clear part of the card, it looks kinda cheesy, nothing like the sharp, clear card in the pictures.

Speaking of membership rewards, I signed up for it, yeah it was supposed to be free. The idiots charged me an enrollment fee of $40, and a membership "change" fee of $25 both on the same day. I was pissed off at such an obvious error. Did they think I wouldn't notice?? They acted surprised when I called. I got credited $65 right away. morons!

The Blue & Green cards are two different product families. You can't convert the Blue to Green. Why not just have both? :)

Blue is a credit card with a fixed limit which you can revolve the balance on. Green is a travel + entertainment charge card which nust be paid in full each month.

I personally like having both- one for everyday stuff (rewards plus gold) and one for revolving larger purchases with (blue)

AMEX Blue is higher than AMEX Green in terms of approval requirements. Blue is at the same level or a little bit higher than the AMEX Gold card. Since you already have Blue, you should just go for the Gold card. The gold is always higher than the green.

I can't see having the green at all...do one of two things...UP-GRADE to GOLD + REWARDS or just pay the BLUE off in full every month and it is "BETTER" than the "GREEN"...

    JUST MY OPINION...

    GOLD $75
    GOLD + $150

    BLUE $0

Membership Rewards for the Blue is $40. Membership Rewards Options is free.

What's the difference in the two membership programs? Either way, they credited me the 40 + 25. Maybe because I was about to cancel it.

It takes approximately twice as many points to get a reward with the free program (Rewards Options) than with the regular program.
