Thread: Anxious - I want a card

Ok folks!! How long must I wait before I apply for anything? Out of sheer desperation, I applied with Nextel for a phone, because I have a phone under someone else (if you all know the story), it won't be until 9 days before they let me know. I want something, so I am going out on a limb for a secured card from Bank One (6.9% for 5 mths). Additionally, I have not received any responses from any of the CRAs and this is just my first round of disputes. I am due a response by 8/6 and today is 8/5. I was batting a 579 according to Eloan. What now? All advise is greatly appreciated.

I thought you had an american express. Do you have one of those? One card I was approved for was the Cap 1 Kmart card. You may want to give it a try.

Isn't nextel the hardest to qualify for? Maybe try another cell phone company? We got sprint back when our score was in about your range. We had to pay a deposit, but they gave it back just a few months later. We didn't even ask.
