DO credit card companies value Loyalty? Whats with First bank of Marin pulling a credit report for a credit line increase? This is after 6 months of having this card. No late pays. 50% balance i carry. Sub-prime lender. Ahh hello? boy thats real great logic. lets pull his credit report, i wonder if its perfect in 6 months.bunch of morons.
Ok can I ask you a question? Do you honestly expect a company of any kind to be extremely loyal to you after you've only been with them 6 months? Try at least a few years and then get back to us
I FREAKING hate that company. I have a charge off of about 800 and they say they will settle fo 250. Here is the catch, they will report is a settled less than full. I am going to let it sit for a while then, try to renog. unless someone has a better idea on the board. Also watch out for their fees. They are crooks to me. Absolute crooks. Pulling a CR for an increase. Whatever
its not the point. The point is they expect me to be in good standing in 6 months. They are the ones who did the check, i never requested a Credit line increase.Sorry you missed the point.
i have 5 chargeoffs listed on my TU. i got a Getsmart card for 250.00. raised too 1000.00 after 6 months, then 3000.00 after 1 year. It shows me they care about me making payments on time, and they have rewarded me for it. Like i said, i find it funny how Marin pulls a credit report then denies me.DO they expect all my chargeoffs to be gone? lol. All it should depend on is your history with that bank.
I have had my card with them for over a year now and I have noticed that they check my credit every 2 or 3 months. I don't know what the purpose is, I have always paid my payments on time and not gone over the limit. Of course back in December I had my card stolen and they sent me a new card and so I had 2 accounts listed on my credit report. I disputed one as being duplicate and instead of showing it as a lost/stolen card they changed it to a chargeoff. The chargeoff amount was the fraudulent charges on my account. I am still trying to get that mess cleaned up with FNBM and Experian over that. Nothing like trying to clean up your credit and having a new chargeoff show up!
kbanger, Contact Francisco Renderos at the FNBM Office of the President. I has a similar issue. I had made payments regularly. I used the card for a sum total of 44.90 throughout the life of the card. I had the problem with them posting payments and so every month I was racking up $29 late fees and $29 over the limit fees until it reached over $900!!! I finally sent an email to the customer service email. I stated to forward to the office of the pres. I told them that I had tried to close the account 8/01 and that never happened AND, regardless, they were charging me interest and fees ad infinitum for a "savings account" which was NEVER established! This means I was paying for a product never received which is illegal! I cc'd the FTC, the OCC, the BBB of NV, the AG of NV. The next day I got a call from the Office of the Pres. They zeroed out my balance and closed the account and reported it "pays as agreed"!!!!
Alot of credit card companies do soft inquiries on your report every few months to either offer you a line increase or look for an excuse to bump up your % rates. It should be listed as a soft inquiry though. If it is hard then you have a case against them.
Scomf Thanks so much I called their OFC OF THE PRES and got a miss russell who said she would review the account and get back to me. She said she would be out till Tues. She said that they had to pull my records because it is over two years. All I want them to do is bring it back to good, close it and report good or see them in court for not providing me with my savings account (THANK YOU SO MUch for the Ammo)
