I just talked to a guy from a debt management company...he said that chances of getting sued on a lower limit credit card account are about 1%. So, I'm curious if anyone here has actually been sued on a $2000 or $1000 account?

    Thanks.

I was sued over an $1100 Capital One balance.

I ultimately won because they failed to show, but I also negotiated a settlement with them. 75%. Ugh.

(obviously before I started reading here)

I've seen people sued for less than $300.00 on time barred debts by debt purchasers. It can and does happen.

My dream is that Portfolio files suit against me some day. :)

That would be exceptional against PRA. Do you need a job as a paralegal?

I'm not being a smart-ass when I say that would be a job well done. They are tough to bring to the table.
