    Hello,

Can someone tell me if computer printouts are acceptable as validation and if they are not what can I refer to in legal quotes that I can forward back to the credit bureaus to have an item deleted as the validation is not proper.

    any help would be great..thanks

Jlynn, that is an excellent letter. I am in a similiar situation where the CA sent me a mere printout of what they had in their system and asked me to send them copies of an old lease or anything that can prove that I was not living at such address. It is not my responsiblity to prove that. It is theirs, correct? What should I do now?

Keep the validation process on track.
You don't do that by running around trying to put out their little brush fires.
    That's why they light them.

I love it when they want you to prove a negative. I've probably got an old blank lease around here that can cover that problem. (That was a joke! Don't set yourself up that way!)

    Keep the validation process going...

OK. This is the latest response from the CA. They state that they have already sent me the proper validation (print out from their computers) and it is up to me to prove that I didn't live at that address and as far as they are concerned the debt still stands because that is the information they were given originally by the OC. They evidently can not provide me with a copy of the signed contract, etc. that I requested within 15 days. So now do I send a copy of this letter that they just sent me to the CRA's and demand that they delete this from my file due to lack of validation?

I think I might go directly to an ITS - to the CA.

    Re: Re: Appropriate Validation

You got a point with the ITS.
Their latest letter is basically saying they aren't going to validate so why waist time and postage sending estoppel?

    PS:
The CA just hosed their own little brush fire with that response!!
