I was approved for a United Airlines Visa Signature card with no-preset limit with a score of 615.

    They pulled TU for me.

    I have 1 open collection from 1998 for $400.00
I have another paid collection from last year.

    I am 75% in ultization.

    www.unitedairlines.com

Recieved 15k in miles after my first purchase.

For a Signature card it was easy to get.
Bank One rep said that Visa from United Airlines is the easiest to get. So I tried.

    Approved Online !!!

    Good Luck all !!!!

Did they give you any details on their criteria? Is income a big factor? I have been turned down for cards with ALOT less prestige than a signature, with scores 669-682, at 55% util. Give a girl some hope.

Looks like Homedepot denied me on my TU score

I might be getting the Kay Jewelers since they pulled EXP and its my highest....

Just looked at my PG fako scores and I went down

    4 points on Equifax
    1 or 2 on TU
    3 on EX

Just wondering... how much will STORE cards increase my FICO?

I know it will initially may be lower since there is more open new accounts, however the majority of INQS were done on experian where I have over 30 inqs (If I am under 20 inqs my score will go up) and the drop I saw was minimal on pg...

I would suggest you dispute the inquiries with Experian. 30 is a VERY high number. Call Experian. Ask to speak with their fraud unit. The only way to get Experian to dispute inquiries is to state they were done fraudulently. Dispute all but a couple. They will ask if you wanna place a fraud alert on your report. It doesn't hurt you and falls off in 90 days. It is worth it to get 30 inquiries removed!

any suggestions on what type of excuse to use? Say it was my brother?

Tell them you don't have a clue who. They won't ask who. They will ask 'Is this fraud? You answer yes and with that they will investigate and in 30 days all will be gone. I did the same for my mom. All but 1 inquiry was removed. For whatever reasons Advanta refused to remove it.

I wonder what a BK on the record at three years old would do to an application?
