I received my ExxonMobil Mastercard statement and I found the following statement printed on my statement:

ASSOCIATES NATIONAL BANK (DELAWARE) HAS MERGED WITH CITIBANK (SOUTH DAKOTA), N.A. AS A RESULT,THE WORDS "WE", US, AND OURS AS USED IN YOUR CARDMEMBER AGGREEMENT NOW REFER TO CITIBANK (SOUTH DAKOTA), N.A. AND THE TERMS AND ENFORCEMENT OF THE CARDMEMBER AGREEMENT WILL BE GOVERNED BY FEDERAL LAW AND THE LAW OF SOUTH DAKOTA.

Does this mean those on the ANB blacklist are forgiven, or now on Citibank NA's blacklist?

    author_22,
I don't know whether you can get ANB cards after they merged. There is no way to find out until you applied for the card. I noticed my payment address changed form Des Moines,IA to The Lakes,NV. I had a couple of charge-off accounts back in 89 and my name wasn't on the blacklist. Fron time to time I received a collection letter from collection agencies and tried to collect old debts.
CITIBANK USA is not merged with Citibank SD and you may try to apply over there. You apply for the card before they merge in the future.

You can try applying - if you're on their blacklist they won't pull your report anyway.

BTW, called Associates today, they said they're in the middle of merging with Citibank, and it would take a few more months to complete.

    Saar,

That means I can pay my biils on-line with the rest of my Citbankcards. Currently they don't have any on-line access and on-line payment on their websites. I like my ExxonMobil MC and it has 3% rebates for purchasing gas and 1% rebates for others. I got this card two yrs and it is used to be issued by GE Consumer Card Co.

Perhaps that is why Experian says I have 4 BP accounts. Who in the heck would want 4 BP accounts? LOL

In my Experian report they reported I have one BP account and it is Shell Credit Card. I don't why they call BP account.

Ron- they're all issued by ANB (Shell, Texaco, Citgo, Amoco, BP ...) so the bureau may confuse them.

    mj,

I think ANB has only one subscriber account with Experian. So they reported all Gas Card as BP that what I think.

BP+shell merged in the south. Causing all Shell stations to turn into BP's. Subsequently Amoco+bp merged, causing all the Amoco's to turn into BP's. Darn brits on every streetcorner now ;) They are the cleanest nicest stations with cool features around, And amoco gas is top notch!

Anyways thats why they all read the same..

I had an Amoco card (they merged with BP here in VA a while back) it has been reported as BP ever since Citi started reporting the gas cards - about 3 months ago for me.

I have a Shell account - it is still Shell here in VA.

I have a Citgo account - it is still Citgo here.

I forget what the other one is - it got merged with someone else also.

    I don't really care - I still think it's funny.

They are reporting accurately on Equifax and TU - so far.

It annoys me that they are reporting them at all. Actually I guess it has improved my balance to limit ratio, because I pay the gas accounts off each month and they have high limits for gas cards.
