My husband declared chapter 13 five years ago. We were not married at the time. After getting married, we bought a house in my name only. We have not had any credit problems because we have been putting things only in my name. I recently went part time though and since interest rates were so good we refinanced and had to put him as a co-signer for the house. When signing up a for a credit card at Sears, he was denied. I then went to sign up (and mind you, I have excellent credit) and I got denied. They informed me that the bankruptcy is now on my credit report. We live in Illinois and that's where he filed, but again, were not married when he did so. What do I do about this? Also, please name all of the places (w/web addresses or phone numbers) where I can get all my credit reports. Thank you for your help!
