This board is terrible. And it is getting worse. 75% of you make me sick. YOu lurkers who show up to post an insult here and there are Truely SICK! Several months ago this board was awesome. Now this board is full of complete evil. That goes way beyond Bobby.

    Hi and welcome,

For all newbies (and regulars) this post is not from roni. The proxies especially AOL are sometimes very confusing and we don't know who is who. Hopefully we will have registration set-up before long and can get rid of some people's sick idea of humor. For now take all ill informed posts with a grain of salt.

I'm going to get ripped for saying this, but I've been thinking this for awhile after watching the utterly useless drama on this board for the last few months. So here goes.

I don't know nor do I care from whom this latest tantrum-y tongue-lashing came. I do know that I've read a few from Roni (that she has either admitted to writing or not disputed) over the last six months that sound a lot like this one. I also know I've tended to stay away from this board over the last few months because certain people seem to beleive that this is their personal playground. The irony is that several of these people are very quick to dismiss or even insult others on this board, but if they receive the same treatment they react like a scalded cat. I saw Bobby tear this board apart about 18 months ago and several very knowledgeable people get disgusted and leave, Adam Anderson and CreditRanger come to mind immediately. When Know-x was less than promised, I watched Barry get ripped. In the last 8 months, I've seen numerous other people drift away and the board is the lesser because of it.

I am making a plea for civility; don't insult one another; don't have tantrums and then think it's okay because you're tired or you've had a bad day and you've said you're sorry; if you've been insulted, ignore it, reacting only gives the perpetrator a feeling of satisfaction.

If you want a role model, look to Herb at CreditWorks. In the three years I've been around this board, he's taken more hits than anyone. He's always remained a gentleman. In my book, for what it's worth, he is the ideal bulletin board citizen. Kudos to Herb! Trying to emulate him would raise the standards of this boar

    Curiouser, You are so right.
Over the years, Herb has been a voice of reason. I miss the folks with real knowledge and experience who have left. Perhaps with registration they will return and share their wisdom with us again.
    I hope it's soon.
Your "personal playground" description is unfortunately all too true. The pbm is making a real effort here and deserves our thanks.

    Fair Enough!

    curiouser and others who responded,
Wow, your post was very insightful. I do believe at this point, I am really not welcomed here anymore for whatever the many reasons. I have spent alot of time here giving advise that just is not recognized anymore. I guess I ask for the insults as per your post. So be it. Time to go back to the gym and get ready for the summer.

    Curiouser,

Well put. And I was wondering why I had the urge to read a few posts here tonight. You have always been a wonderful source of common sense and civility. And you are right about Herb, he is the the rock.

    Thanks for the kind words!

    Peace,

    BarryN

Bosh! You are the model of humility, Herb. And everything that has been said about you in this thread is completely true.
