Pulled my online Tu report and was surprised to see BP/Amoco already reporting, although I knew it would eventually.
Interesting side note, this event was neutral and did not change my TU score, but I will be interested to see if it is a score neutral event to fico when it reports to EQ......

See TU item Below:

Re: BP/Amoco Already on my TU Report

I have 3 of the Associates gas cards, they all showed up this week on TU. Nothing seems to change my score with them, hehe, even time, which is doing wonders for Equifax - slowly but surely.

I had 2 cards hit the 2 yr mark this month - scores went up significantly on EFX and EXP, but only up 2 points on TU.

Breeze, do you have a contact number for Associates? I got a preapproval offer in the mail from them and mistakenly threw it away. Also, do you know which CRA they use?

Re: BP/Amoco Already on my TU Report

The ANB gas cards are pretty easy to get. I believe they checked equifax at first. Associates eventually will check all CRA's though. You can get them online. I think my score with EFX was around 650 when I got the first one.

look at the horizontal line in the middle of the page, gas cards are second from the right.

But all his derogs are paid and 3.5-6.5 years old, and he makes $XXX,000 a year and has had the same job for 12 years, same home ownership for 19.5 years. Might have helped.

Yep -- I just checked TU and my Shell card is reporting. Didn't change my score either.

Well, I applied online and it told me that I would hear something within 7 days. Why can't they just say "yes" or "no" and stop all the suspense nonsense?

Re: BP/Amoco Already on my TU Report

I was approved on-line for a BP card thru Associates. It stated that I would receive my card in a few days.It did not give me a credit limit. What is the normal starting limit? Also it mentions cash advances are possible? Is this a visa card type account or retail?

If my Mom already has Texaco, what are her chances of getting another gas card with them? Texaco is NEVER late or OL....has a $750 CL.

Re: BP/Amoco Already on my TU Report

I had 2 Texacos and a Shell, all offered to me preapproved, and then applied online for CITGO and Amoco, and got approved for both.

I did get a funny "we'll tell you later about our decision" letter when I applied for BP after I got my Amoco card. And then they never followed up with another letter. So I think you can't apply for both online. I guess that since they're the same company, Associates considers them the same card and won't allow multiple applications. Their web site says you can only apply once for the same card online.
