I got all three credit reports last March (2013) and I applied for them again today (1/16/14) thru Clark Howard's website as before. This time the first report said I had to receive it by mail rather than print out. A second credit site told me I already had my credit report. I thought each year was a new year, do I have to wait till March before I can get new reports?
AnnualCreditReport.com is the only free place to get it. Here is what they say on the frequency: Should I order all my credit reports at one time or space them out over 12 months? You are entitled to receive one free credit report every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies through the AnnualCreditReport.com request service. You can decide to order all three credit reports at the same time or order one now and others later. The advantage of ordering all three at the same time is that you can compare them. On the other hand, spreading out your requests can help you keep track of any changes or new information that may have been added to one or more of your reports.
I order all three of my reports at the same time & I order them by ALL by mail. You will find that the many people that are serious about their credit do this too! I keep a very detailed and accurate record of everything. Any disputes that i have sent I keep copies of letters,outcomes, and copy of full report after its completed. Should I need anything in future I always have the old copies to reference back to. If a case is needed to dispute I send letter via US post office CM and/or CMRR and file all the papers with receipts,dates,etc accordingly...............I gear up for a lawsuit every time I have to deal with them. I have never had to get that far but, should the time ever come I feel bad for them.......really really bad.
