Here is my progress report. I thank you all for posting your experiences. I apologize for not being such a great creditnet contributor. But, I guess my testimony is proof that it can be done (must be a fanatic however). Here is what I have accomplished so far â?¦(amounts are approximate) NCO â?? $1500- deleted, Credit Vision- $1400- deleted. Credit Protection Associates- $419 â?? deleted, Pacesetters - $190 â?? deleted, Wells Fargo Charge off sold to Nco â?? deleted , Circuit City - charge off â?? sold to Credit Vision â?? deleted., Kay Jewelers -$4025 â?? negotiated (lots of arm twisting) deletion for 25 % (still awaiting equifax deletion). Creditnet name change (was gilliner)

I have two major issue to deal with Macyâ??s charge off $1400 they offered â??settled in full charge offâ? for 80%. I asked for proof of my signature on charge slips and an application. And also told them that was too much to pay on this questionable debt. They sent me a letter saying they are looking for the info I requested and they would send it soon. That was June 5th. I have heard nothing since. It reports on Equifax asâ? dispute resolution in progress.â? How should I approach this now?

I am not sure I have much choice on Cap 1 â?? charged off 11/2000 is now $533. Do you guys think I am gonna be stuck with an R5 on that one?

I am looking for some words of wisdom on these two.

As for Capital One, I tried to have Mr Cooke delete a 30 day late with no luck. I might try another Goodwill letter.

I have gotten a R9 to a R5 with Cap 1, so far, by disputing with the CRA's. I am in the process of disputing directly with Cap 1. charlie

charlie thanks, It is An unpaid charge off still.

tix, I got rig of the sold charge offs by first writting a letter to the oc. They tell a story about an identy theft I suffered. And a story of how I lost all my important documents in moves. I mde a statement like "I thought that all of these faudulent accounts and charges were already taken care of. If this was not one of those accounts then I am sorry." I noted my negative experience with their respective debt collector and politely requested valid proof of the debt. Then, I sent out my disputes to the cras. Wells Fargo gave no response, but deleted. Circuit City provided a crystal clear copy of the application along with an apology for their CA and deleted.

    RE: Account # xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Dear Sir or Madame

I have recently received a copy of my credit reports. All three reports had an account listed from your company as a credit card. I have disputed the account with the credit bureau as â??not mineâ?. After a very negative experience with NCO Financial Systems, I am hoping that Wells Fargo will show some due consideration in this matter. NCO claimed they had bought this account from Wells Fargo. I argued it was not my debt. We consequently settled the matter(they deleted when they couldn't validate). I still maintain that it was not my debt. Due to the questionable nature of the debt and the fact that Wells Fargo sold it to NCO, I submit the following.

Please delete your information from my credit reports. I have never had an account with your company. If someone has opened an account in my name, please close it immediately before further harm is done.

I am requesting that you notify all of credit bureaus that this account is â??disputedâ? or that you delete this account until this matter is resolved. This is required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

If there is any paperwork that I need to sign to confirm that this account is not mine, please send me the required documents.

This is a written dispute of the this account per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Billing Act. Please be aware that I am exercising all of my rights per these laws and all other applicable laws protecting me.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Voodochild!
