I sent revised Nutcase #1 via CMRRR to Cap1 in reference to a settled CO. They recieved on the 29th and they caleld and left a message with the lady saying she wants me to call her back to talk about it. Obviously I'm not going to call, just curious as to why she would want to call me, especially when I didnt include my phone number on the letter I sent, I'm sure she pulled it off of my account information. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm just curious as to why she would call when I specifically ask for documentation.

Just curious... did your Nutcase letter happen to include a paragraph instructing them not to contact you by telephone? If so, be sure to document the date and time of the phone call, and save/record the message if you still can. Violation #1.

Original creditors are not bound by the cese/desist laws not to call. Only collection goons do.

Depends on state laws. A full cease and desist can be enforced under the Uniform Commercial Code against anyone.

The OC has the recourse of filing suit, but he must cease other contact.
