What is the deal with Capital One's website? The account information system is down again and I can't make an online payment or check my balance. This has been happening ALOT lately. I AM NOT HAPPY.

I know it's frustrating. I'm experiencing the same problem. Sometimes if you back out of the web page & sign back in(maybe more than once), you are able to connect. I think it's that their server is too busy. Hope this helps!

It is very annoying that they can't keep the web page up, I don't think it's because they have too many users...

"Capital One said it has begun working to move its customers to the Web for account servicing. It currently serves about 370,000 accounts online, and projects that more than two million of its 25 million customers will receive and pay their bills online by yearend. By comparison, MBNA Corp. has said it expects to serve 1.1 million of its customers online by yearend"

This is what a customer service rep told me, that they revamped their site to service many additional customers. You'll find early mornings is the best time to do your transactions.

I forgot, they are also developing an online shopping site. I think called Capital One Place. This may be one of the factors as well.
