I kept my car after the disharge in January 06. I had planned on reaffirming, but my lawyer screwed it all up, and it was included(i was going to sue). Long story short, i have been making my payments all along, and havent ever been late.

I am selling the car because i just bought a new one. After paying this loan off through the bank, is there anything that can be done to list it as such on my credit, and get the positive feedback on my credit report? I have someone picking the car up this weekend.

    Thanks in advance

Try to work out reporting with the creditor. If you've been timely, I'm sure they'll be glad to report it as such. Does the loan say "IIB" on your credit report?

Then contact the creditor, and request to have changed. I'm sure they'll work with you.

Doubt that any bank/creditor will remove the bankruptcy info from the credit reports - even if you pay off the loan. They won't even acknowlege any payments to them that are made in the absence of a reafirmation agreement.Hell they won't even acknowledge the reaffirmation agreement when they report to the CRA's.

If you've paid off the loan, I'd ask now.

If it's a bank with a branch local to you, go in to the office in person. Sit down with one of the account reps and explain the situation in detail. Ask for their help. In exchange, you might tell them that you're willing to consider financing your next car with them and see if they'll give you a preapproval.
