This may not be the correct forum to ask this question in but.... while applying for a BP credit card, there was a yes/no question on the application "Is your credit history clear of any bankruptcy and/or serious delinquent accounts? Also I've seen on other applications statements to the fact that bankruptcy or delinquent accounts on your credit history may lessen your chances of being approved for credit. (not word for word). Does anyone know if this is new procedure for some banks? Maybe a deterrent for consumers with less than good credit to not waste time in applying? I've also noted in the past that some banks state that anyone with bankruptcy will not be approved. Any comments? Thanks for all replies.
