I just checked Credit Expert and found out my score is @ 776!! This is my experian report where I have had all negatives deleted!

How does this relate to everything else? Anyone know what creditors ONLY check experian? I am in CA.

When I apply, should I apply for as many cards as possible before the inquiries start hitting?

Just FYI, I have 1 inquiry, and am using 98% of the credit extended to me.

It also says that the reason why my score isn't higher is because:

Application for credit made in the last two years
â?¢ Presence of an installment loan (other than a real estate loan)
â?¢ Lack of a real estate loan (or lack of a real estate loan that has always been paid on time)

I think that's silly because I got the installment loan on purpose to help my credit.. and I lack mortgage payments so that also counts against me.

Anyhow, anyone know if I should apply for cards now or wait until my TU/EQ is completely clean as well? Also, how does the 776 FICO translate?

766 rocks!!! Go to http://millcbs.com and find out who checks experian for California applicants. I am shocked that you have such a high score with 98% of your credit lines tied up, but happy for you. <<doing happy dance>> My EX score has been between 711 and 732 since Jan. 3 and I have had trouble finding anyone that doesn't pull that &%$#*! Equifax.

Cool - thanks! I am extremely happy with this as well.

Also, I meant 98% is NOT freed up, meaning that I am only using 2% of the credit extended to me. Although most of it, the $3000 loan I got was just a secured credit union loan anyhow, so that will be paid off by late this year. I am doing direct deposit on that, simply to build positive credit lines.

How accurrate would you say mills is?

Also, where do u obtain the scores for TU and EQ?

Very odd. The owner/operator of millcbs frequents this board, I wonder if he knows about that? Anyway, the proper link is indeed http://www.millcbs.com. But by all means go get the Amex LOC http://banking.americanexpress.com/...nesofcredit.jsp, they pull a soft on EX. Then RUN don't walk to get the citiAA and do the back door double to Platinum! The citiAA silver is at http://www.citibank.com/us/cards/cardserv/worldcard/acq.htm and the citiAA gold is at http://www.citibank.com/us/cards/cardserv/worldcard/acq.htm. Of course you should apply immediately back to back and most members find that citi only pulls one inquiry. When you immediately get approved for both, call customer service right away and combine them and convert to platinum.

see if citi pulls EQ or EX in your area first. They pull EQ in NY.

    1) am currently on the amex blacklist i believe since I had a chargeoff with them. i wanted to confirm that if i apply, that there would be no inquiry? Also, do they only pull experian?

    2) as for citibank, is the doublebackdoor trick applying for the gold and silver card within the same hour, then after getting both - calling and changign it to one platinum?

    3) How to use mills web site? if I select the following as the parameters:
    creditor: ALL
    state: CA
    CRA: Experian

it will give me all the creditors that pull experian with those conditions.. HOWEVER, I don't think the listings that it gives me only CHECKS experian.. isn't it common for creditors to pull more than 1 report?

Because of this, i noticed there is an option where u can select list all creditors that only pull from ONE CRA. However, the list is much more limited.. what do you guys think?

superadman : your link to amex doesn't work. How do I get there off the main amex web site? Also, the 2nd citibank link doesn't work either. Can you please update! Thank you very much!

    1. AmEx LOC only pulls Experian and, so far, has always been a soft inquiry based on reports on this board.

    2. Correct re Citibank.

    3. creditor: all
    state: all
    cra: experian

You will see a spread of how many Experian hits occur across the widest number of states. The system is not perfect b/c the pool of entries is too small, but you can see some trends.

    LOC = Line of Credit

In this case it is personal unsecured line of credit

Sorry about the links, the period screwed up the citiAA gold link. Here is the correct link for BOTH citiAA cards: http://www.citibank.com/us/cards/cardserv/worldcard/acq.htm Go to the left side of that page and click on the Advantage card and then the Gold advantage card. Those are the exact two you want to apply for.

And here is the correct link for the Amex LOC: http://banking.americanexpress.com Be sure to select personal unsecured line of credit at the bottom of the "type of account" screen

    Hey Ender,
Congrats. That is a great score!! If I were you, I would right this minute go to the citi site, and do the apps for the silver aa and when approved, immediately apply for the gold aa. They pull experian and give instant approval and are very liberal with the limits. Go do it , with that score you should have absolutely no problem.

SORRY! That Amex thing was still screwing up for some reason. Here is the correct link for the Amex LOC: http://banking.americanexpress.com Select "Open an Account" on the left side of the page. Be sure to select personal unsecured line of credit at the bottom of the "type of account" screen
