Anyone know who the easiest approval is for a cell phone plan??? Verizon, ATT, etc.? Also what credit score and CRA do they use?

I got approved with Sprint when my credit was at its worst. They made me pay a $125 deposit and I had an assigned spending limit.

I got approved with Voicestream about a year later. I assume my scores were in the mid 500's. They checked TU which was my worst report at the time. I didn't have any deposit and was approved for up to 3 phone accounts I see a lot of A/R's from Sprint on my Equifax report so I believe they probably pulled that one but it was too long ago to tell for sure.

Now my scores are in the low 600's and I get pre approvals for cell phones from Att and MCi all the time.

I believe Sprint is by far the easiest to get, they deal especially with people who has damaged credit. They pulled experian from me at the time, I'm in california. If I remember correctly you can apply online and see if you get instant approval. Goodluck

Sprint is very easy to get. I got mine with no deposit required.

When I was in miami beach Fl, I was able to get a cell phone without my soc and without a deposit. I was amazed(although I got a great deal on opening day). They do have a spending limit at $120 tho. Maybe you can buy one there and use it in cali?? Then all of the night minutes would start at 6 pm...just a thought...

Last month I got a AT&T plan, M-Life. They checked EQ which at the time was at 666 (I'm in MI). No deposit, no set spending limit, but I was a pre-paid customer for 2 years. Applied on-line about noonish, got the phone the next day by 10:00am. No complaints yet ;~)

Sprint is very easy to get. My scores were in the low 500's a few years ago when I first got the phone. They may ask for a deposit, it shouldn't be more than $125. FYI Sprint PCS has horrible customer service though.
