Has anyone experienced getting denied for a new Chase credit card because you've had 5 new credit cards in the last 24 months? Chase is really trying to crack down on people churning rewards card for sign-up bonuses, so they've recently tightened things up even more. My friend, who has excellent credit, was just denied a new Chase card because they basically said he's had too many new cards. And they're not limiting it to just Chase credit cards anymore. If you've had a total of 5 new credit cards (from any credit issuers including business cards) during the past 2 years, you run the risk of getting denied. If anyone has a personal experience to share, I'd be interested in hearing more about your situation. Thanks!
