I was disapointed to learn that Cheveron is only offering it's credit builder account to people who have dammaged credit.

Believe it or not I was told that a person just starting to build there credit could not qualify for this programme!

Apply for the basic card, and only if you are declined, you will be offered the credit builder card, based on Chevron's qualifications.

Be prepared to wait for the card, the whole process can take upwards of 90 days.

    Good Luck !

Could you give me some highlight on this card. How do you rate your credit when you applied for the Chevron card?

Mine was 574 and was refused a card as they WILL NOT give the credit builders to anyone that has a BK in the last 5 years no matter what the score

My bankruptcy is 5 1/2 years old, my score is 580 and I was also denied the credit builder account. What gives?

This card is very much like their basic card, except for the fact it carries an annual fee. The fee depends on the program level you are approved for,30 to 50 and the credit limits start out at 200 and go up to 300 depending on your program level. My son was approved for an accout with them, level 2 with a limit of 200.00 and a $50.00 annual fee. There were no other fees associated with his account. After on time payment for one year they will waive the annual fee. His fico score was 628 but he has quite a few inquires lately too. Trying to obtain credit. He recently recieved his first statement and did online bill pay with no problems. You can call chevron to apply, or go directly to their websight, you will need to apply for their basic card first, then if you do not get approved for the regular no annual fee card, they may send you a counter offer for their credit builder account, the information on the account will be included at that time. Good luck to you, keep us posted.
