    Hello,

I had a bad account with Wells Fargo a year ago. I owed them $260 at the time, but couldn't pay it. Most of the charges were from overdraft fees. Well, they reported me to Chex systems. Nothing shows up on my credit report from them. As you probably know, with a chex systems report you cannot get a checking account. Well, I want to pay back Wells Fargo. Anyone have advice for who to call and how to get myself removed from Chex Systems by paying them off?

I know that if you show Washinton Mutual you have paid and it has been a year, then they will give you an account. This is the alternative route I will go if I can't get off Chex Systems. But I would like advice for getting removed.

    Thanks,

    Casey

I should have mentioned that I already disputed the item with Chex Systems and Wells Fargo verified the information. What's weird though is that this used to be on my credit report, and now it's gone.

    Hi,

I feel for anyone that is listed in Chexsystems, because I was in there for 4 years.

I paid it immediately, and still couldn't get my name out.

'This item cannot possibly be correct, please remove'
(this way, anything can be wrong with it, the amount, the date, the bank, the payment amount, etc...)

It was gone in 18 days.

I must mention that the bank is going through some serious trouble and that the person that reported me was fired for stealing.

    I hope this helps.

I was able to open an account with Bank of America. They checked my credit.

Yes, this does help, but I have already disputed it once. Do you think disputing it again after waiting a while would help?

Ok. I will try and send another dispute tomorrow. I guess you're right, it doesn't hurt. What I am worried about though, is that I want to get an account with Washington Mutual in a year. If I pay Wells Fargo, then after a year I can get an account with WM.

send validation to WFB and dispute with CHEX. Chex is just another CRA.. falls under same laws as FCRA.

Has anyone ever had a bounced photo copied check reported to them?

BofA reported me to Chexs over a $1k+ overdrawn checking account (had a joint account w/ ex who did some shady stuff). I will be off in October. I wanted to dispute it but I was afraid that when Chex got the dispute and check w/ BofA, they would release my info to BofA hence waking a sleeping dog! The account has already gone to 3 different collection agencies. The first 2 times I disputed it w/ the CA and sent validation. They sent it back to BofA. The last time (since the SOL was up) I immediately sent a C&D letter and threatened lawsuit if they put it on my credit report). Haven't heard from them since.

This has nothing to do with NSF checks so why was it ever reported?

So that explains why our reports are wrong and our scores are sacked-The convicts are reporting.

YEY! WOO HOO! Now what? Are you going to try and open an account somewhere?

When mine falls off, it won't even matter. I don't need any accounts so.....but the feeling will still be nice.

Try e*trade bank if you are on Chex, I was able to get a bank account with them last night and it does give you an automatic apporval or denial online. A year and a half ago I was also able to get 3 accounts with Net Bank with some major chex reporting, I have read that they are much more strict now than in the past.

Please be careful of the list of non-chex bank, I found that many of those listings are very, very inaccurate. USAA Bank and FSNB are very easy to get accounts with if you have been reported and your credit sucks, those are really the only two the chex sites report that are true.

Don't waste chex inquires trying to get an account with some of those banks, will only hurt you more in the long run.

They are right, if you have more than three inquiries for new checking accounts in three months (90 days) that is the same as a negative report. Even if you pay whatever is due to the reporting bank, you are still in chexsystems, it will just update as paid. That may help you at some banks, but not at all of them. I could be wrong, but I don't think Chexsystems reports to any of the other CRAs. If you have a bounced check or collection account with a bank that could be reported by the bank or the person/business you wrote the check to, but Chexsystems is it's own CRA, so to speak. A chexsystems report in and of itself will not reflect on your other reports. Try USAA, they are wonderful. You can go to chexvictims.com and read all about them. Good Luck.
