Before you pay for a "list" of banks if you are on ChexSystems, or pay for a rehab class on how to manage a checking account, go the standard dispute/validation process with both Chex and the financial institution that reported you.

Most individuals don't realize that ChexSystems is a credit reporting agency governed by the FCRA, and its collection practices are governed by the FDCPA.

    Also -
There are several options if you are on ChexSystems. Some banks run Telecheck only, others will open an account if Chex items are paid, and still others will open a savings only account.

Also, there are banks that will just run a FICO.

In addition, there are investment companies that will open a money market account with check writing and debit card options.

The web site [Chexvictims.com] listed below has a lot of information.
