I read a post here in searching on this topic and someone said that Citi will deny if there are more than 2 inquiries on file within the past 6 months, even with everything else perfect and scores in the 700's. Can anyone else confirm if this is the case with Citi or have you been approved with more recent inquiries than that? Thanks! NiceGuy
I got approved for the aadvantage gold world mastercard with maybe 10 or 11 inqs, so I may just be weird though
Thanks, ero2. Anyone else recently been approved for Citi PS with more than 2 inquiries in the past six months on bureau Citi pulled?
I received Citi ps in August with 4 inqs at least. I had to go through reconsideration but that was due to high balances on authorized user accounts. Once I got those dropped and they looked again I got 5000 cl.
I just received a citi platinum select (6400 limit, 7.9 fixed) with 8 inquiries on my TU. It is definitely not true.
Slee: How long after you applied did it take to hear? I applied today via phone and they said apps can take up to 4 weeks to process...
It took about 2-2.5 weeks. I didn't know I was approved until I opened my mailbox. Boy, was that surprise I didn't think I would get the same card that I already had, let alone get a credit limit that was larger than the 1st Platinum Select card. I wonder if Citibank uses some kind of wheel of fortune when setting limits
Slee, You were correct. Citi Plat Select was approved with 8 inquiries on EQ--5 in last 6 months. Just called for status. Approved for $9700 at 7.9 Fixed! Thanks!
