I am usually very good with the bills, but for some reason I did not pay hubby's Citibank card yesterday on the due date, of course I immediatly paid it today before 1:00 pm, so it should post today however still one day after the due date.

His account is in perfect standing, are they going to jack his rate for just being one day late??

Anybody ever pay citi online one day late??

    Thanks:(

    Don't worry.

Citi is pretty good about this so long as the account has been open for awhile and this late payment is just a once or twice occurence. On the 3rd time, they may not be so nice about it. But, just once is OK, again to reiterate though, the account should be open for a long time with history of ontime payments

Thanks Brad. His account is 2+ years old and he has ( or should I say I have) NEVER paid late before.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer:)

If you get a late fee, call them immediately and explain the situation. As Brad said, I've found Citi very forgiving as long as it's only once in a blue moon.

Once in 2+ years...NO BIGGIE...they will reverse it...

I think they're right about Citibank being forgiving, reversing late fees, etc.

But in this case, the really relevant fact is that Citibank doesn't seem to consider one day late to be late at all. Believe me, I've tested that a few times.

So I don't think there's anything to reverse or forgive in this case.

Citi is crap dont use any credit from Citi or Citi Bank. Ever trust me I have had two accounts and both became my worst decisions ever. I use credit bunches of credit. Trust me CITI Bank is the worst card ever.

Maybe now this is true, but Citi wasn't so forgiving in the past before the new CC regulations. It didn't matter what your paying record was or how long the account was opened or even your FICO score, if you were one hour late even for the 1st time, Citi would yank any special interest rate offers and near the time the new cc laws went into effect, they would jack up your interest rate to the default level.
I would NEVER take anything for granted BEFORE talking to Citi, in fact I would have been on the phone with them right after making the payment.... assuming you did this online or at a branch office.
