Countrywide Mortgage Experiences?

    I'm refinancing my home and spent about an hour on the phone with a rep from Countrywide. I told him I would discuss the plan with SWMBO and get back to him the next day. I did, and left a message that we were ready to go. Since then I've left him two other messages. It's been a week, and he hasn't called back. Is this normal for these guys? Should I try someone else? Who?

    Thanks in advance. (Damn, I'm glad things are getting back to normal around here!)

    I have not had any personal experience with Countrywide, however from the experiences I have read about on the board they are great and get thing done fairly quickly. You may want to get in touch with someone else at Countrywide to get the process going. The person you were speaking with could be on vacation or just out of the office for any number of reasons. Also, from what I hear Countrywide checks TU exclusively. Usually 1 pull and only from TU.

    Thanks, Robin. I think what I need is just a reassurance these guys are ok. I had heard great things about them, but you never know.

    Just for the record, the guy pulled a report while I was on the phone with him. It showed up on my Experian report.

    FYI -

    My mortgage was bought by them in October. I do all my payment online. Very easy and very smooth. Thus far they only seem to be reporting to EQ.
