Just pulled my first EQ report and have some questions.

    1. What is Unknown account type and Lost or Stolen card for status? and how should i approach these.

    2. What about wrong "good" information. Should i have these corrected??

    3. I have a couple of small collection accounts, should i just pay them??

4.What is the best strategy on charge-off from CC accounts.

    This will get me started

    Thanks

The "good" wrong information are "payed as agreed accounts" that are really not mine.

"Doc told me this once when I started, I find it to be good advice. If the account is paid and it's been a while then the company has no reason to fight you on this. After all, they have their money, why bother? So chances are if it's paid and it's been a while then you may be able to get this removed "

Do you think this holds true for getting an OC to delete when they long ago sold your debt to a CA? I have several OC's who report a $0 balance because it was "transferred or sold". In most cases the CA is not reporting or I've disputed them off. I'm just worried about sending the nutcase when I technically haven't paid.

I would say keep any good tradelines you have, whether they are yours or not. Especially when you have negatives. Maybe once you get your reports totally clean, then you can try and remove the wrong good info if it bugs you.

If you have a credit card and the credit card company sends you a updated card with a new expiration date, and you loose your mail and you ask the credit card for another credit card. They send you out a new card with a new account number. This looks like a different account of your credit report. The old account should be listed as "lost or stolen". Having a account so listed is a minuscule negative and should not be worried about.

    Good luck. Erik.
