Hi, I am preparing for a pre trial court date of 8-6-02, I am being sued by Jefferson Financial Recovery Group, Assignee of Providian Bank. I have given the background regarding this in another thread but I have to prepare a pre-trial statement to submit prior to my court date and I am not sure exactly how I should be answering these questions. I have asked the attorney's office for a copy of the contract and for something showing that they are entitled to attorney' fees. Has anyone done this? I don't want to answer and screw up any defense I might have. Thanks,
WEll, first off, who is your atty? Don't have one? well, there is a good starting place. secondly, do you owe this debt, if you do and are trying just to prick your way out of it, then you're on your own, if you're not liable, then just tell the judge that in a SHORT and SIMPLE and NONBIASED opinion. You could always settle!
The reason you aren't getting a response is most likely because no one knows the details of your situation. You may have posted it earlier, but with so many posts, I'm sure most don't remember. I would suggest that you do another post with the specifics, and you'll most likely get some answers.
