I recently had an onsite interview with a potential employer and it looks promising. I could receive an offer in 3 weeks. I recently tried the 1-2 punch with an OC charge off on all 3 cras. The amnt is $2500. I know the OC isn't bound by the FDCPA but I cited the FCRA in their letter. My attempt failed on all 3 attempts but two of the CRAs verified the wrong acct number. Now I if I get an offer in 3 weeks and assuming I have 2 weeks to respond for a total of 5 weeks, how can I knock this thing out? Does anyone here work in HR? Is there a good possibility of being denied a job with a 5 yr old $2500 charge off? It is an IT position. I would be devistated if I didn't get this job because of this.
