Does anyone have any experience with paying-off accounts throught credit counseling?

Do the notations come off automatically? If not automatically, do the creditors have to remove them when I dispute?

Also, does anyone know if any creditors will allow me to reopen the accounts if I terminate the service before I reach a $0 balance?

I'm almost done with the program and have the following accounts included:

    Sears
    Beneficial (HSBC)
    Best Buy (HSBC)
    Chase Bank of America
    Citibank
    Bank o America

Advice would be appreciated. I'm not sure what to do.

    Thanks

Once you complete the program, dispute the lines that you are not in credit counseling.

I don't know if they will allow you to reopen. Most creditors rate credit counseling on par with a BK.

I hate the idea that some creditors may consider it like a BK... I PAID my debts, and learned alot in the meantime... I realize that it's not a good thing, but I think that it truly makes me LESS less likely to default on anything, EVER.
