They do in fact include a "how to read your credit report" sheet now, but I was unable to get a clear answer from them on the following inquiry codes.

Are those inquiry codes preceded by an ACIS or a REA hard or soft inquiries?

It says on their sheet that PRM, AM, AR, credit bureau inquiries, PRM AM, and AR inquiries are soft but not the ones noted above?

    Any help?

    ACIS is a soft inquiry.

Excellent, thanks! Anyone know about REA?

As in REA Purchased Paper LLC?

EQUIFAX, ACIS or UPDATE - These inquiries indicate Equifax's activity in response to your contact with us for either a copy of your credit file or a request for research.

    Still looking on the REA

Anyone heard of a DTC type inquiry?

Nope, not one on my report. Isn't it amazing that the CRA can't even tell you?

I've asked this a trillion times, but no one knows if REA is hard or soft. RMA always shows up as REA.

This site lists codes for TU:

    https://www.banc.com/CreditReports/crcodes.htm

    Has some good info.

I'm pretty sure that REA is reaffirmation of debt across the board, got one of those just about to drop off my EQ, almost at its 2-year mark.

I don't know exactly what it means, but my new utility company pulled a report and it was marked DTC.

Did you move recently and have to estiblish new utility service with a different utility company?
