    BIG DEAL...

I called them and they ran my info thru the computer and I get a whopping 250 CL increase.
So now instead of 1200.00 CL I have a whopping 1450.00 CL....

Guess every little bit helps but geeze that was a waste of my time! I've had my card for one year as of this month and been perfect in payment, etc....

I apply for the Chase Perfectcard and I get approved for 4k....what is wrong with Discover card? I guess I'll sock drawer it.

Since it has no balance do you guys think being only 1 yr old if I close it that it will hurt my score? I have alot of other cards and I didn't know if having Discover adds to my mix?

Discover is a terrible card from what I've heard.

For some reason, I enjoy having it. I have the Titanium card, which sucks because there is no cash back...

My card is a whopping 1/4% rebate LOL
I hardly use it cause it's such a small rebate.
This is why I figure it's not worth keeping.

My perfectcard is 1% on all purchases and 3% on any gas purchases. And the 1st 90 days I have it I get 6% on gas purchases at any gas station.

I canceled my Discover many years ago because they aren't good on CL increases, and I think they were the original two-cycle billing. If you carry a balance it eats up the cash back quickly. They try to make you think you have a good deal.

If I were you, I'd be thankful I got an increase. Just sock drawer the card.

YOU DON'T EVER PAY INTEREST ON IT...unless it is interest for a BT that is 5.90% or less...
...AND never make a PURCHASE if you are running a BT!!!

Have you tried the retention number, 800-347-2911?

I had been trying for months to get a decent BT rate and lower purchase APR, and finally called retention. While I was there, I also asked for a CL increase and they gave me $1000 more without doing a hard inquiry. They dropped my APR to 9.9% and gave a BT rate of 5.9% for life of the balance.

I have been frustrated with them too, but I like that BT for life now.

Just yesterday I called "R" and got a CL increase of $500 plus a BT of 1.9% no fee. Starting in April '04 I have to make 1 purchase each month to keep the 1.9%.
