Got a discovercard preapproval in the mail today.. 0% until June 2004.. I think that's a pretty good deal.

Thing is, I've been been looking to get rid of a couple of my credit cards, so this discovercard (if I go for it) would replace those two. Here're my questions:

    1. Does anyone know what CRA(s) discovercard pulls the most? or are they like capitalone and pull multiple CRAs? and what sort of scores (ball park figure) are required

    2. Is the discovercard worth it? anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?

    Thanks!

I used to have a Discover Platinum, but I got rid of it recently to cut down on the number of cards. I don't think the cash back feature is worth it unless you're going to put a lot of expenses on the card. You don't get the full 1% unless you charge over a certain amount. There are better cash back cards out there today which give you the full 1% back, no matter how much you charge (Chase Stockback, Citi Dividend, etc).

I think....... ?That here in Texas they may pull Experian. I have not applied yet to tell you for sure but I do know that they do promotionals on my expreian report and then I receive an approval in the mail. Hope that gives you any info you can use.

    Hey:

I live in Mississippi and found that Discover pulled Transunion around here in the South, in general.
