    Has anyone ever received a credit limit of under $2,000 from Discover? What is their standard "starter" cl?

    My Discover card issued in 1988 when I was still pretty new to credit was $1,000.

    I have, I have. :)

    When I was 18 (with zippo credit) they gave me $1200.

    When I was 22 (with excellent credit) they gave me $1200.

    In my case, $1200 seems to be the magic #.
