Well, I tried Creditexpert and just cancelled it today. I had eight days left in my trial and I figured that now was as good a time as any. Experian is my toughest report of the three to get anything taken off, but I had some small successes. From 3/15/02 to 4/02/02, my score went from 574 to 594. One account that was showing "included in bankruptcy" was deleted from the file due to the fact that the SOL was up.

That raised my score up 6 points. My Providian piece of crap $100 card was changed from 2 30 day lates to Open, never late. I then paid off the card and the update to "closed/never late" as well as "closed by consumer's request" gave me 14 points.

I finally went the paper route on some disputes with certified mail/return receipt on my Equifax and the wife's TransUnion (her worst report). Trying to get two 120+ medical collections from my report removed. I kept disputing online and it kept coming back verified. So I called the number up and wouldn't you know, it was THE DREADED NC0. Listed on the report was some company called Medclr, but NCO answered the phone. These collections are 6 years old, however I found out that one of them was for a surgery my son had and the HMO never made a payment. So I think if I pursue this, I can probably get this removed. But I decided to use the prove it or remove it letter for the bureau, so they have until 4/25 to respond or letter #2 will be sent/

Around 4/14, I should get the results of my TransUnion dispute. This one includes my student loans showing 2 90 day late on all seven of them. I have already gotten Equifax and Experian to update these to open/never late due to the fact that they were in deferment at the time of the lates. Also, I am trying a test dispute with Americredit. They reported 1 30 day late on my Chevy van back in 12/2000, which I can prove is not correct. This is the only recent late that I have left, so that'll give me about 2 years of on time payment for all my current debts. Thanks for listening.

    Hi tsaul,
I am getting ready to start my first round of disputes. I just finished refinancing my house and have a few dollars to work with negotiating settlements, etc. So, your post is encouraging to start into the fray.

    Thanks

Medclr/Marlin Intergrated/Inovision/NCO are all one in the same. I posted the link from the bbb a couple of weeks ago. NCO will ding your reports with inquiries every month, but Marlin Intergrated/ Inovision/Medclear will report, re-age, and is listed as an open credit card. (since when are utilities credit cards?) I had Inovision on one report and Marlin Intergrated on another for the same collection. They never reported to Experian though.

I sent 2 validations and an estoppel. Never got a response to any of them. None of the above ever marked my reports disputed. I have NCO and company on several violations, but I am waiting for Equifax to verify and then I am going after all of them. TU deleted the item after I sent them a revised nutcase letter and threatened to sue them too.

Thanks for the info. I sent off a dispute to Equifax about Medclr. They are the only bureau that has them on the report. This item is over 6 years old so if they try to re-age this account, I am going for the jugular.

NCO also has dinged me with an inquiry on my TransUnion report recently for some strange reason. Looks like I'll be calling TU tomorrow.
