Hello I was reading the Doc's trick with lot of interest. ..... More than ..... one year later. This is one of a kind post. 1- Is there a second version (August 2003) ? 2- Is there a foreign version for Equifax Canada and/or TransUnion Canada ? 2- I have about 12 hard inqs in my credit file and am looking for a fast and "easy" way to have 8 of them deleted, those who declined my app. In case the answer is NO for the first 2 questions, what effective approach do you suggest. PS: My humble contribution to this GREAT board, as newbie; those of you who want get their credit report much cheaper - in Canadian $$$$, may go to iQuiri by Northern Credit Bureaus Thanks to all for you input Bela http://www.NetLogis.com/?forums.html
WRITE OR CALL Just try to get rid of 2 or 3 at a time... "IF" it is an account you had for a while you can say "I already have an account...I did not apply for a second account" "I asked how long till I can get a limit increase...JUST A SIMPLE QUESTION...they pulled a HARD...please remove it" Companies are TRIGGER HAPPY with inquires...ask a question...HARD Interest rate too high...HARD When does my BT rate expire...HARD Can I get a second card for someone...HARD Can I change my billing date...HARD
Very smart approach Georges !!!! Now if I DO NOT have an account, what do you think would much probably work ? Thanks again Bela http://www.NetLogis.com/?forums.html
Does this apply to TU too? I've always gotten their stupid standardized letter. It seems they won't even consider dealing with inquiries.
TU is a royal pain in the @$$ when it comes to those...either you get the letter or they just flat out deny the inquiry is even there.
I got the same thing from Transunion too. Seems like a form letter or something to the fact that I can't get them removed thru TU but have to dispute to all the lenders that pulled my credit individually. What a royal pain!
TRANS UNION---->"INQUIRES ARE A MATTER OF FACT THEY HAPPENED...IF YOU DID NOT APPLY FOR CREDIT WITH THE COMPANY...DISPUTE IT WITH THEM AS FRAUD" ...OR SOME WORDS TO THAT EFFECT
Isn't it dangerous to use the "f" word with the CRA's? Then you get your report frozen and all sorts of problems arise? That's the impression I've gotten from a few posts.
