Thread: Does anyone have/had WaMu secured?

Hi,

I've been doing some reading on "prime" secured cards. I'm looking for one that will go unsecured after a period of time and give me a prime card.

I have had 5 cards charge off all within the last year (huge financial bump in the road). They were: Fleet, Kaufman's, Cap1 (2), & Providian. Back in 1994 I had Citibank and Amex student cards charge off (they were paid shortly after and are no longer on credit report).

As of today, I am caught up on all my current credit obligations and using my tax refund to pay off the chargeoffs.

I'd like a secured card that will let me into prime territory sometime in the future. I'm thinking about WaMu. I've done the research but alot of the posts on this bank are from a couple of years ago. Anyone have them recently? Which report did they pull? What's the maximum you can put in your secured cd? Do you get an unsecured card after 18months? Did you get to keep your credit line? Any other pertinent info would be great.
