I want to get a citibank card, but I read somewhere that they don't report to the CRA's. Does anybody know if this is true? I really need the good tradeline, so I don't want to open an account if my payment history won't be reported. Thanks.
They do report your payment history, but they have stopped reporting credit lines, as have alot of creditors in a defensive move to prevent having their 'good' customers poached by other credit card companies.
They do report to all three credit bureaus. but they do not report the credit limit unless the account is over 65 days past due.
Is the credit limit not on the data tapes? If I were to get my infile, would that limit not be listed there? Just Curious, BarryN
I'm not sure all I was told is that the limit will not be reported to credit bureaus because they don't want the other credit card companies trying to take the customers with the higher limits and so that the other card companies can't decline an application because the person is over the limit on their citibank card.
As far as I know citibank reports, aren't they the ones running AT & T universal? I am curious because when i log onto the website it says citibank at some point in it.
