Am in the process of CH7 bankruptcy. Will be (hopefully) reaffirming mortgage, 2nd mortgage and auto. I read a lot on here about rebuilding and am wondering what I should do.

Are there any good FAQs about this? I'm thinking the first step would be to get one of the secured credit cards and start building that way?

I am ni the same boat you are. We go to court for our Chp 7 on Dec. 4. As soon as it is discharged I am applying for one of the secured cards. I've read up on quit a few of them, and am leaning towards the American Online card, below is a post directly to the page (I hope it works).

The second post below that is for the Bayhouse Forum, there is a lot of good advice there as well.

    Good luck to you!

I do have a question for you, I've been advised that we would not want to reaffirm our Mortgage or vehciles. Can you shed some light on why you want to, it's still a little confusing to me.

    thanks!
