So did you get approved or not? As much as you've posted about this card, surely you've applied?

 

Does this mean that if MBNA declines your application, that Providian will check your credit too?

Should we be prepared for 2 inquiries for one application?

 

Of course. If MBNA denies you up front, they will forward the application and NOT the corresponding credit report. So, in that case, Providian will run a new credit check. Interesting to note that no score under FICO 600 will be approved. Proof therein that Providian is upping the standards. Albeit not much.

 

I HAD THAT HAPPEN WITH SIGNET BANK (I think they are now part of CAPITAL ONE or HOUSEHOLD or maybe FLEET)--GOOGLE SEARCH ALL I GOT WAS A BUNCH OF COURT CASES...

2 INQUIRES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE APPLICATION...BUT CAPITAL ONE DOES THAT ALL THE TIME!!! 2 or 3 inquires for ONE application!!!

 

mbna always pulls 2 or 3 inq's btw.

apply for an apple loc or something..

you'll find a couple on your exp and maybe one on your TU too

 

I can definately verify MBNA pulls 2 credit reports, didn't get approved, they are just like Cap 1

 

Not unless your a really big eBay user and there are quite a few of them. I think Providian will get about 500,000 accounts this year...I do wonder how many people will find the card very useful though since there are so many other reward cards out there
