Emerge Mastercard

    For those of you who were converted to emerge master card the # is 1866-705-3603.there is about a 15 minute wait to talk to customer service.the rep told me that every thing was staying the same. My rate is the same except it will be variable, at 16.9.There is no online access so you have to mail in your payment.I thought providian was bad this company is worse.I think im gonna transfer my balance to my other card I have never been late and I have never came close to the limit at $2800 in over 2 years. my other card has a $10000 limit. Anyway I dont want another master card.

    Yep,

    Just got off the phone with them. Crappy terms are still the same. Still charging annual fee if you have one. No online, $15.00 fee if you make a payment over the phone.... And the list goes on and on.

    The card makes 2 years in November, I will close it then if annual fee isn't waived.

    I honestly won't miss the 2k line thanks to the board helping me into prime land.

    I guess I"m going to have to wait and see.. when I called earlier this month on my getsmart (which renews this month), they mentioned nothing about this, but they told me I had NO annual fee. Hubby's GS renewed in Sept (they changed it to a PVG) and he had NO annual fee. This is too wierd...

    Now I'm worried also because I had a payment scheduled already for this coming Fri. I wonder what the heck is going to happen to that.

    I'm wondering:

    Should I call and ask or should I just wait and see, basically since they haven't notified us anyway of this change. I wouldn't know if I wasn't checking online or knew about this board. Any other company would give me the benefit of the doubt, but these guys...

    GRR! I got the providian letter today saying my acct was sold to emerge and here is my new acct #

    I paid off my acct 2 mos ago when they raised me from 9% to 30%...

    what do i do... I DO NOT want another tradeline

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I actually got my Emerge card today in the mail..no letter or anything. I called the activation number and it was busy..after about 20 times it finally went through and I activated my card.

    anyone have any ideas for me?

    I do not want another tradeline on my report :(

    esp since this one is PAID IN FULL and closed.

    I got the letter today! My Getsmart Visa is now a Mastercard (Emerge of course!) but you know what?!!! I closed that puppy out a few months back and the balance is zero. Why the heck are they transferring a closed zero balance account over? But, then again I don't care anyways cause Providian sucked and now I'm hearing so much bad things about Emerge I could care less!!
