What is the difference?
Besides the fact that my TU Empirica is 564 and FICO is 614... I'm po'd.

Empirica is Trans Union's trademark name for a credit score generated with the Fair Issac mathematical model. In other words, it is your FICO score calculated from your Trans Union report.
The trademark name for your Equifax FICO score is Beacon. Experian's marketing department must be a little slow, because that score is called Experian/Fair Isaac.
Then I wonder why the difference in my score. Somebody pulled a TU on me and came up with a score of 564. I was shocked. I came home and pulled the $12.95 score and came up with 614?Originally posted by DaveLV

Only explanations I can think of is either:
1) The lender pulled one of the many customized FICOs (Empiricas) available instead of the standard/classic FICO.
or,
2) The lender pulled the score from a reseller whose data was not correct per TU's file on you.
