First off I was renting an apartment with 2 roomies, and I was to pay the whole rent 900.00 and they would pay the bills since they had less money. Well neither of them could get the phone put in their name,so I gave them my info to do it..Well here's the problem, they put the Entergy Bill in my name WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. They called over the phone so there is no written proof whatsoever. They did not thinking nothing of it b/c they planed on paying every bill until the last one which no one recieved b/c we changed adress..Well what do you know I get 3 CA writting and calling me asking for funds..I told them I NEVER EVER agreed or signed any contract with them. Once CA told me if my name was on the lease then the bill is valid for me. I told her, so if I were to call on the phone myself and get the apartment redecorated for 2000.00 in my roomates name without him knowing it, he is responsible for it b/c his name is on the lease. She then got rude with me, so any legal advice would be appreciated here.. PS I also told them I would pay in full to get the Collection off my report and they said they don't do that..Should I validate it then go to court if they don't remove it b/c they have no proof at all or negotiate more..
